Making the move can be a big decision, so we've compiled responses to our most common questions below to help you out.

We are currently building Stage Two which consists of 22 units and a small community  hub that includes a club lounge, bar and outdoor entertainment area. Residents can also access facilities such as the café and chapel at Mercy Health Bethlehem Home for the Aged which is located beside Golden Rise. It is hoped to complete further stages to approximately 180 – 190 units The contemporary units will have a six-star energy rating efficiency.

The development will feature a community centre with a club lounge, a bar, a library, a dining area, a computer hub, new furniture and a large-screen smart TV for movie nights. This will open onto a decked outdoor entertainment area with barbecue facilities.

Some units will have street frontage, allowing the development to blend in with neighbouring houses. All units will be accessible from internal access roads. CCTV will be incorporated to provide residents with additional security and reassurance.

Each unit will have a secure garage. Visitor parking will also be available on site.

Retirement Village legislation requires residents to be aged 55 years and over and are not working full time. However, the average age of retirement living entry in Australia is around 75 years.

Mercy Health Retirement Living offers a balance of community and care. The new village is co-located with Mercy Health Bethlehem Home for the Aged and will be equipped to nurture your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

The units are designed with a contemporary look and feel and residents are supported to live independently. As a resident of a Mercy Health Retirement Living community, you will also enjoy priority access to residential aged care if you require additional support in the future.
